Uniquely San Francisco
Go for an Ice Cream treat
How about satisfying your palate and treating yourself to a sweet treat? I’m sure you’ve been screaming for ice cream since the start of the summer and it’s about time you give in to your cravings. Get a scoop or two of the yummiest and creamiest ice cream around San Francisco area. There’s a wide array of awesome ice cream parlors waiting for you to be discovered. Flavors ranging from chocolate, strawberry to vanilla down to Matcha and Oreo flavored ice-cream – all are to die for. So swing by your favorite ice cream store in San Francisco and have a taste of that creamy goodness in a cone (or in a cup, maybe).
Attend a music festival
Another cool way to celebrate the start of summer is a free admission concert with lots of entertainers performing for the goers. How about attending the 80th Stern Grove Festival? Invite your friends and family members for a 2-month long- weekend-only of great music happening at Sigmund Stern Grove. I’m sure even non-concert goers would love the idea of picnicking under the trees while swaying and chilling to the beat of your favorite music. There are a lot of great activities to try in San Francisco, and Stern Grove Festival is surely a must try.
Witness a theatrical play
Summer is not just all bout the water park and the beach. There are actually a lot of activities to try, and one of them is watching your favorite musical theatre play at a local theatre. This year, CMT San Jose, a local theatre production offering theatre arts class, proudly introduces to its fans a musical play like no other. Catch the local staging of the famous novel by Victor Hugo Hunch Back of Notre Dame starting July 28 to August 6, 2017 and witness this once in a lifetime musical extravaganza.

If you are not into musical plays and swimming, you might want to develop that Albert Einstein in you or unleash you inner Isaac Newton by visiting the famous California Academy of Sciences. Wonder, discover and learn fun science facts, exhibits and artifacts that will leave you in awe. There is so much to see and experience at this famous attraction including a trip to the outer space via their Morrison Planetarium. Real dinosaur bones and animal skin are also exhibited for an up close and personal look. California Academy of Sciences is located at 55 Music Concourse Drive, Golden Gate Park. Visit a botanical garden in the city
Strangely enough, there are some people who would go promenading through botanical gardens during summer than exploring the great outdoors like hiking the mountains and surfing the beaches. If you are the former, I recommend that you visit some of the well-known gardens in San Francisco. Topping the list is The San Francisco Botanical Garden. Now on its 77th year of amusing the locals and tourists with their large-scale assortment of plants, trees and flowers, San Francisco Botanical Garden is a perfect place to relax, enjoy and learn.
